This industry includes, but is not limited to hotels, food service, casinos, tourism, etc. Event, meeting and convention planning accesses the hospitality industry to facilitate the needs of planned functions. Corporations, businesses, associations, organizations, etc. often have in-house staff to coordinate and supervise the strategic, operational and logistic activities of such events. However, the practice of outsourcing these in-house responsibilities to independent meeting planners has been on the increase since the 1990’s.

The increased numbers of companies and associations outsourcing the planning, promotion and management of their meetings and events to independent meeting planners can be attributed in part to corporate downsizing and restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, increased responsibilities of staff, etc. Additionally, tighter budget restrictions prevent corporations and associations from booking too far in advanced. Consequently, short-term bookings mean that in-house meeting planners have even less time to coordinate all of the components that create successful meetings and conventions.

Through development of an interactive website, eventnetsolutions.com, our firm, EventNet, LLC, plans to help meet the needs of clients more efficiently than existing processes.
